| Dear Friends of FEST, welcome to the first edition of the FEST newsletter. Around about this time last year, whilst visiting the ISH in Frankfurt, the idea of a regular FEST newsletter was discussed. It was agreed that the publication should appear on a quarterly basis and feature specialised articles for the members and management of the European building services sector. In March 2019, nobody could have predicted the challenges we would be facing a mere 12 months later. The virus pandemic has arrived in Europe with great force, and it not only determines how we lead our lives but also shapes some of the editorial of this first FEST newsletter.
